James Barlow Crosby, 58, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2005, of cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Pamela, daughters, Jamie Davis (Scott), Katie Barker (Dirk), granddaughters, Samantha, Kayla and Madison, and his pal Winston.
Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps representing his country during the Vietnam War. He worked in many professions; as a coalminer, a motion picture film distributor, a Salt Lake City Police Officer, a travel agent, and finalized his career as a licensed Clinical Social Worker. He attended Westminster College for his undergraduate degree and received his Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Utah.
Jim would've liked to stay longer, but he understood that it was time to continue his spiritual journey. He reminds us, "Honor each moment of your life, and lovingly remember all those who have been part of it."
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held the prior evening, Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at the same location.
