Thank you for visiting this memorial page honoring those who either graduated or would have graduated from Granger High School in 1965. We are honoring as many former classmates as we can find who have passed on. They were our friends, associates, teammates and, in some cases, our lifelong partners and companions. We also honor our veterans and those gallant young men who gave their all, in defense of the country they loved so much. To our MIA, James Schiele, we will never forget you and will continue to look forward to the day your remains are returned to the land of the free, the home of the brave.

Thanks to everyone who helped in the development of this memorial page, especially Diane Day Cooper, who would have graduated a Lancer were it not for her parents relocating their family in 1960. Without her, this would not have been possible. Thom Rich

Patti Evans

Patricia Ann Evans Weighall
05/15/1947 ~ 05/04/2017

Patti was a beacon of love, she loved everyone with whom she came in contact unconditionally. Surrounded by her family, Patti returned home to her Heavenly Father suddenly on May 4, 2017 due to complications following a stroke. Patti was born on May 15th, 1947 to Robert Leonard Evans and Norma Jane Hardy. She grew up in Granger and was a proud graduate of the class of '65 from Granger High School where she was senior class secretary and a sterling scholar in art.

On October 28th, 1965 she married Steven J. Gibbs, with whom she had 7 children. Patti's greatest joy was from being a mother and raising her children. Family was most important to Patti. She led a life of selfless service, always giving to others. Patti also had a great love of the outdoors. She loved hiking, fishing, and taking her family to Montana every year to camp and fish on the Madison River.

Patti was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and of the Savior. She lived by her heart and trusted in the Lord. She had a gift for seeing people as the Savior would see them and projecting His love.

Patti married the love of her life, Steven Weighall on January 16th, 2016. They went on many fabulous adventures and she made herself at home with him in Kennewick, WA. They planned to serve a mission together in the fall of 2018.

Patti is survived by her siblings, Janet (Jim) Witherspoon, Leonard (Holli) Evans, and David (Jamie) Evans; her 11 children, Mary (Jeremy) Whitehouse, Robert (LoriAnn) Gibbs, Lucy Lance, Sue (Matt) Cragun, Jimmy (Mandy) Gibbs, Stephanie (Ben) Hughes, Amy Gibbs, Annie (Matt) Valentine, Matthew (Tiffny) Weighall, Molly (Allan) Neal, and Luke Weighall. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 12th at 11 am at River Ridge 11th Ward Chapel, 1100 West 10168 South Viewings will be held Thursday, May 11th from 6-8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S) and prior from 10-10:45 am at the church. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
